The Parkbyphone app can be used with all smartphones running iOS & Android. Users with phones running other operating systems can access our services using mobile web browsers at www.parkbyphone.my/login.
The app can be downloaded on the Apple App Store for iOS devices or on Google Play for Android devices.
Besides paying through the app, you can also make parking payments in areas using Parkbyphone using the following methods:
a) Through the web portal at www.parkbyphone.my
b) Through SMS
c) Through Parkbyphone agents listed here www.parkbyphone.my/our-agents
To use the Parkbyphone user portal, you would need to first have a Parkbyphone account by registering at the login page. If you already have a Parkbyphone account, enter your username & password & select “member” from the drop down menu “Login as”.
The Parkbyphone user portal can be accessed from any desktop or mobile web browsers, allowing you to pay for parking from wherever you ae, regardless of what device you have.
You can register for a Parkbyphone account using the “Register a new account” option at the login menu & fill in the details required in the following menu.
You only need to fill in your name, email, telephone number & password to register for a Parkbyphone account.
Your email & phone number are important to allow us to verify your identity. It is also important to enable us to contact you for important parking information.
No, you ony need to enter your email address & Phone number to begin. Credit card information is only required if you need to top up your Parkbyphone credits. No credit card information is kept by Parkbyphone.
Your password must be at least 8 characters long & contains one of each letter, symbol, & number.
After successfully registering, you must top up your Parkbyphone credits before being able to make payments. The top up methods are explained below.
You will be given the option to store your login information every time you log into the Parkbyphone app for your convenience. However, for security reasons, you not save your username, passwiord, or both.
Using the Parkbyphone app, you can access the Vehicle Management menu by going to side menu, choosing the user profile (portrait icon) & choosing “Vehicle”. You can also access the Manage Vehicle page on the by clicking on the side menu & choosing “Manage Vehicle”. You can also access the page by selecting “Manage Vehicle” from the Parkbyphone dashboard.
On the Manage Vehicle page you can add new vehicles to you Parkbyphone account or edit & remove any vehicles currently registered in your Parkbyphone account.
You can store your vehicles’ numbers from the “Vehicles” menu that can be accessed from your profile. Just select the the portrain icon under the main menu.

To add a vehicle, select the edit button (pencil icon) on the top right corner & choose add vehicle. Fill in the necessary details in the following menu.

You can also store vehicle numbers using the Parkbyphone web portal through the “Vehicle Management” menu by entering your vehicle number (without spaces, cases do not matter) & description & pressing “Add Now”. You can verify that the new vehicle has been added by checking the list of registered vehicles.
You only need to enter your plate number & a description to allow you to identify the vehicle with that plate number.
To edit a vehicle under your Parkbyphone account, just press the pencil icon on the vehicle you would like to edit to change the description. To remove a vehicle, click on the trashcan icon & click confirm.
We do not restrict the number of vehicle numbers that you can store in your Parkbyphone account.
To remove a vehicle from your Parkbyphone account, select the side menu & choose profile (portrait icon). Select the “Vehicles” menu & choose the edit button (pencil icon). Choose the vehicle you wish to remove & select remove.
The top up menuin the Parkbyphone app can be accessed by choosing the menu button in the top left corner. Choose “Top Up” to access the top up menu.

In the Parkbyphone portal, you can access the Top Up Credit page by clicking on the side menu & choosing “Top Up Credit”. You can also access the page by selecting “Top Up Credit” from the Parkbyphone dashboard.
Using the Parkbyphone app, you can top up in-app through online payments using credit/debit cards or online banking. You can also top up using Parkbyphone PIN that can be purchased from our agents.

Using the Parkbyphone portal, you can top up your Parkbyphone credits using either a Parkbyphone PIN or directly from the website paid through either credit card or the iPay88 payment portal.
Parkbyphone PINs can be purchased at any authorized Parkbyphone agents. A list is available here: www.parkbyphone.my/our-agents
To top up using a Parkbyphone PIN, you will need an active internet connection (using mobile data or WiFi) to allow us to update your Parkbyphone account. You must also make sure that the Parkbyphone PIN entered is correct – all Parkbyphone PINs consists of 16 digits.
Just select your preferred top up method (either credit card or payment portal), click next, & follow the following steps.
No minimum credit balance is required in your Parkbyphone account. However, for your convenience, we recommend that your Parkbyphone credit balance to be at least more than the amount you normally use for parking payments.
You can access your top up history in the Parkbyphone portal on the Top Up History page, which can be accessed by clicking on the side menu & choosing “Top Up History”. You can also access the page by selecting “Top Up Credit” from the Parkbyphone dashboard.
On the Top Up History page you can check all the occasion where you have topped-up your Parkbyphone credits, as well as allowing you to access the individual receipts for these transactions. You can also filter these transactions by date & payment method, & print the results in an easy to read format.
To use the filters, you only need to select dates and/or payment methods that would like to view. All fields are optional. Click “Filter” to obtain the results & “Print” to print these results.
In the app, you will be directed to the main page as soon as you have logged in to Parkbyphone. To return to the main page, press the menu button on the top left corner & choose “Home”.

Using the Parkbyphone portal, after you login, the dashboard will be the first page you see. This is so you can do everything parking related that you need to do easily. You can also click on the menu sidebar & select “dashboard” to access the page.
Our system is built to have 99.9% uptime. If you are having problems logging into Parkbyphone, please check your mobile data connectivity is at least 3G & move to a location where such connections are available (be sure to save your vehicle’s location). If the problem is caused by the app, please restart your phone.

However, in any situation where you cannot use the app or portal, you are welcome to use our agents to make parking payments or pay via SMS.
You can make payments for vehicles that have been registered in you Parkbyphone account here. Just ensure the location displayed is correct & enter your vehicle number & parking duration. On the Parkbyphone portal dashboard, you can pay for parking, top up your Parkbyphone credits, manage your vehicles, & edit your user profile.
To make a parking payment from the Parkbyphone app main page, you only need to identify your location, vehicle number, & parking duration. Your location will be detected automatically, so you only need to make sure it is correct by referring to any nearby Parkbyphone signage.

To make a parking payment using the Parkbyphone portal, you need to select your state, council, & location (which is displayed at any nearby Parkbyphone signs) & enter your vehicle’s plate number. If you have saved your vehicle’s number previously, you can select it from the “My Vehicle” list or alternatively, select “For a Friend” & enter a plate number. In “Type of Parking”, select “Hourly” & your parking duration from the “Duration” drop down menu. The beginning & ending time as well as the amount of credits charged will be automatically calculated & displayed. Just click pay & wait for the confirmation message. Your parking will be automatically listed in the “Active Parking” section on this page.
To purchase monthly permits, you can use the Parkbyphone portal. You will need to fill in your location & vehicle details before selecting “e-Permit (Monthly)” from the “Type of Parking” drop down menu. You will be prompted to select a start date & the duration of your monthly permit. The validity dates & the price of your monthly pass will be displayed below. You can choose to pay with Parkbyphone credits, credit card, or through the iPay88 merchant portal. Once your purchase is successful, your monthly pass will be displayed on the active e-Permit section on this page.

You can park your vehicle based on the limits & restrictions imposed by the local councils. The Parkbyphone system will be able to detect any time limits, minimum durations, & time extensions in an area & apply it automatically, wherever you are.
The Parkbyphone system can determine if payment is not required because your parking stay exceeds the parking operation hours in all locations using Parkbyphone. You will only need to enter the length of your parking stay & all calculations, including free parking, will be calculated automatically.
Parking payments are taken straight from the credits in your Parkbyphone account. These credits are immediately transferred to the respective councils.
Parking payment is calculated automatically based on the parking duration selected, according to the rates set by the local council.
You will not be charged beyond the advertised rates when making parking payments. The parking rates are identical regardless of whether you use traditional payments or Parkbyphone.
Even though Parkbyphone can recognize your location automatically with GPS, it’s also able to operate without such services. Just enter your location according to nearby Parkbyphone signage & follow the normal payment process.
All locations where Parkbyphone operates will have signage displaying all the information necessary to allow you to make parking payments with our system.
The parking payment depends on the location where you have parked. Different locations have different parking rates, restrictions, & operating hours. The total payment will be calculated automatically based on your location detected by the Parkbyphone app.
A list of councils using Parkbyphone is available here. All locations where Parkbyphone can be used will display signage.
If you have verified your parking details, the “success” screen will be displayed along with your receipt number. If this screen is not displayed, please refer to the “active parking” menu to verify that your parking payment has been recorded in our system.
No, you do not to display any receipts or tickets after making payments with Parkbyphone, a major advantage of our cashless payments. However, if you choose to make payments traditionally (if available), you must obey the existing rules pertaining to these payments, such as displaying your coupons or pay & display tickets.
The enforcers will be able to detect that you’ve paid for parking using the Parkbyphone e-Trek device. This device This device scans your plate number & checks it against our database of vehicles with paid parking. Therefore, you must ensure that the plate number entered when making your parking payment is correct.
You cannot end a parking session after payment has been made. However, your session is still valid & can be used within the same location.
You cannot reclaim credits if you end your parking session before your time is over. This is similar to the concepts in existing parking payments, where payments for unutilised parking time is not returned.
If you can’t or choose not to use the Parkbyphone app or portal, you can pay for parking at any of our agents or pay via SMS. Other alternative payment methods such as coupons, parking meters, or pay & display machines can be used where available, according to the local council’s rules.
When using the Parkbyphone app, you can access the Pay for Friend menu by tapping the sidebar menu & selecting “Pay for Friend”. In the Parkbyphone portal, you can pay for friend directly from the payments page.
To pay for a friend, whether in the the same or at different locations, you only need to fill in your friend’s parking details; the state, council, location, vehicle number, & parking duration, & press pay. When the confirmation menu is displayed, press “Confirm”.
You can pay for a friend regardless of you or your friend’s location. If using the Parkbyphone portal, you only need to fill in the location details where your friend is. When using the Parkbyphone app, you will need to select the location manually & fill in the parking details as usual.
Payments that have been successfully made will be displayed in your “Active Parking”, along with all the parking details as well as those you have made for your own use.
You must ensure that the details displayed at the confirmation screen are true. If any do not reflect your parking preferences, please press the “Cancel” button to correct them.
If your parking details are wrong, please return to the payment screen to correct them before confirming payment.
You can check your remaining parking stays in the “Active Parking” menu, which can be accessed through the main menu on the top left corner. This menu will show all parking payments that are still active made with your account.
After accessing the Active Parking menu, you can extend your stay by pressing the “extend stay” button on the same row as the vehicle that you wish to park longer.

To extend your parking using the Parkbyphone portal, you only need to go to the active parking section of the Pay Parking page & select the clock icon from the “Action” row. Just select the duration you wish to extend your parking stay for & confirm. After a confirmation message is displayed, you can check the Active Parking section to confirm that your parking stay has been extended.
Any restrictions on extending your parking are based on those imposed by the council. These include maximum parking stays or minimum time increments that can be made in the area.
To extend your e-Permit/monthly pass using the Parkbyphone portal, just select the clock icon in the e-Permit section of the Pay Parking page. Just select the duration you would like to extend your parking permit & your new validity dates & payment amounts will be calculated automatically. You can choose to pay with your Parkbyphone credits, credit card, or through the iPay88 payment portal.

After you have made your payment to extend your vehicle’s parking, you can check the “Active Parking” menu to verify the extension of your parking stay.
At the end of the payment process, users will be given a choice to activate parking alerts if their parking session is almost ending. If you have decided that you do not need this alert, you can choose deactivate this feature for individual parking sessions. The app will not provide any alert if your parking session has ended.
After logging in, to change your password, choose the menu sidebar & choose profile (portrait icon). Choose the edit button on the top left corner (pencil icon) & choose change password.
You can retrieve your password by choosing “Forgot Password” on the login page. Follow the steps as instructed & the information to retrieve your password will be sent to your email.
To activate parking alerts or to change the remaining time before you are alerted, please follow the steps below:

a) Log into the Parkbyphone app, select the side menu & select the settings icon

b) Choose “Notifications”

c) Choose “Parking end alert before”

d) Choose the number of minutes before you receive a parking alert

Users will be prompted to activate parking alerts each time they make parking payments.
You can access the Parking History page by clicking on the side menu & choosing “Parking History”.
You can view your parking history & your payment receipts using both the Parkbyphone app & our web portal. You only need to select the “Parking History” menu & filter your results by date or vehicle.
Using the Parkbyphone app, you can see all the places where you have parked previously by selecting the side menu & choosing Parking History.When using the Parkbyphone portal, you can access the Parking History page by selecting the main menu button & choosing “Parking History”.
To use the filters, you only need to select dates and/or vehicles that would like to view. All fields are optional. Click “Filter” to obtain the results. In the portal, you can select “Print” to print these results.
You can save your current location by selecting the “Save Location” button (lock icon) from the Home or Pay for Friend menu, which can then be accessed from “Parking History” menu. Alternatively, you can go to your “Parking History” menu & select the “Park Again” button (flag icon).
You can access your summon history in the Parkbyphone portal on the Summon History page, which can be accessed by clicking on the side menu & choosing “Summon History”.
On the Summon History page you can check all summons issued to all the vehicles registered under your Parkbyphone account. You can also filter these summonses by date & print the results in an easy to read format.
To use the filters, you only need to select dates that would like to view. All fields are optional. Click “Filter” to obtain the results & “Print” to print these results.
The council has introduced this system to enable easier parking payments as well as reduce parking operations costs for the council.
Our system is protected by the most advanced data protection techniques. All information sent out & received by our system uses the MD5 one-way hash encryption. All payments made with credit & debit cards are securely processed by third party payments systems. Parkbyphone is also PCI DSS & SOC 1 compliant.
